Pesto Sauce
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Steps
  1. Place the pine nuts in a food processor and process until finely chopped.
  2. Add the basil, garlic, salt, and pepper and process until finely chopped.
  3. With the motor running, slowly add the olive oil and process until a thick paste forms.
  4. Transfer to a bowl or jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
