- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
- 2 cups pecan halves
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- In a large bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy.
- Mix in sugar, flour, corn syrup, vanilla and salt.
- Stir in melted butter.
- Pour filling into pie crust.
- Arrange pecan halves on top of filling.
- Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until filling is set.
- Cool before serving.
