Pecan Pie Bars
Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter, flour and salt. Press the mixture into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over crust.
  4. In a small bowl, beat together eggs and corn syrup. Stir in pecans and pour over crust.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until top is golden brown.
  6. Cool before cutting into bars.
