- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, peanut butter and vanilla until blended.
- Beat in the egg until blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually stir into the peanut butter mixture until blended.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
