Papadums
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Urad Dal (split black lentils)
  • 2 cups of water
  • Salt to taste

Steps
  1. Soak the urad dal in water for at least 6 hours.
  2. Drain the water and grind the urad dal in a food processor until a paste is formed.
  3. Add salt to taste and mix well.
  4. Heat a flat pan over medium heat.
  5. Take a small ball of the paste and flatten it between your palms or use a rolling pin to make it into a thin circle.
  6. Place the papadum on the hot pan and cook for 1-2 minutes until it starts to puff up and turn golden brown.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
