- 1 cup Urad Dal (split black lentils)
- 2 cups of water
- Salt to taste
- Soak the urad dal in water for at least 6 hours.
- Drain the water and grind the urad dal in a food processor until a paste is formed.
- Add salt to taste and mix well.
- Heat a flat pan over medium heat.
- Take a small ball of the paste and flatten it between your palms or use a rolling pin to make it into a thin circle.
- Place the papadum on the hot pan and cook for 1-2 minutes until it starts to puff up and turn golden brown.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
