Paneer Butter Mas…
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or coconut milk (optional)
  • 1 cup diced paneer cheese

Steps
  1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add the turmeric, cayenne pepper, garlic, and ginger and cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the tomatoes and garam masala and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the cream or coconut milk, if using, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the paneer cheese and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
