Palak Paneer
Ingredients
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 250g paneer cubes (cottage cheese)
  • 2 bunches spinach, washed and roughly chopped

Steps
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. When they start to sizzle, add the onions and sauté till they turn golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and coriander powder. Sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes and cook till they are soft.
  4. Add the garam masala powder and mix well.
  5. Add the paneer cubes and sauté for a few minutes.
  6. Add the spinach leaves and cook till they are wilted.
  7. Add salt to taste and mix well. Cook for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh cream (optional).
