Pakora
Ingredients
  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water, as needed

Steps
  1. In a bowl, mix together the chickpea flour, baking powder, cumin seeds, ground coriander, chili powder and turmeric powder.
  2. Add salt to taste.
  3. Slowly add water and mix until you have a thick batter that can be easily scooped with a spoon.
  4. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Scoop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
