- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes or until the mixture is foamy.
- Add the melted butter, salt and eggs to the yeast mixture and stir until combined.
- Add the flour and stir until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 3-5 minutes or until it is smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a 16x12 inch rectangle.
- Spread the melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture. Roll up tightly lengthwise.
- Cut into 12 slices and place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before frosting.
