- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (such as thyme, oregano, and parsley)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch tart pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and pepper.
- Add the butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and herbs.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the tart pan.
- Arrange the onion slices over the crust.
- Pour in the eggs.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and set in center. Let cool before serving.
- Cut into wedges to serve.
