Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (such as thyme, oregano, and parsley)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch tart pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and pepper.
  3. Add the butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and herbs.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the tart pan.
  5. Arrange the onion slices over the crust.
  6. Pour in the eggs.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and set in center. Let cool before serving.
  8. Cut into wedges to serve.
