- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Gradually mix in flour mixture until just blended.
- Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
