Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream, milk, sugar and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the vanilla and peppermint extracts and stir to combine.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  4. When the ice cream is almost done, add the chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
