Matar Paneer
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 green chili pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup frozen peas (thawed)
  • 2 cups paneer cubes (or tofu cubes)

Steps
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the cumin seeds, coriander, turmeric and garam masala and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add the tomatoes and chili pepper (if using). Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add the peas and paneer cubes. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until everything is heated through.
  6. Serve hot with roti or naan.
