- 4 lbs potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup warm milk
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Peel and cube potatoes, then place in a large pot.
- Fill pot with enough water to cover the potatoes.
- Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are tender.
- Drain the water from the pot.
- Add butter, milk, salt and pepper. Mash until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve hot.
