- 4 large potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- Peel and cube the potatoes.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return to the pot.
- Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
- Add butter, milk, salt and pepper; mix until smooth.
- Serve warm.
