- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, flour and salt; mix well.
- Press mixture into an ungreased 8-inch square baking pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine egg, maple syrup and cinnamon; mix well.
- Stir in pecans; spread over partially baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 20 minutes or until set.
- Cool before cutting into bars.
