- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and melted butter.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat.
- Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles form and the edges are golden brown.
- Flip with a spatula and cook until browned on the other side.
- Serve pancakes with maple syrup and crumbled bacon.
