- 1 cup orzo
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the orzo and cook according to package instructions.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic powder and salt and stir to combine.
- Add the asparagus to the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until tender. Add the lemon juice and stir.
- Once the orzo is done cooking, drain it in a colander. Add it to the skillet with the asparagus and stir everything together.
- Serve hot.
