Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9 inch springform pan.
In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, butter and 1/4 cup of sugar. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in 1/2 cup sugar until blended. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice and vanilla extract.
Pour filling into prepared crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes or until center is almost set.
