- 1 lb. lasagna noodles
- 2 jars marinara sauce
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned and cooked through.
- Add in the diced onion and garlic and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the dish.
- Layer 4-5 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by half of the meat sauce.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the meat sauce.
- Repeat layering process with remaining ingredients ending with a layer of noodles and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
