Kombucha
Ingredients
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 cup kombucha starter

Steps
  1. Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and add the tea bags.
  4. Let the tea steep for 15 minutes, then remove the bags.
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  6. Add the kombucha starter and stir.
  7. Pour into a glass jar or container and cover with cheesecloth or paper towel.
  8. Let sit at room temperature for 7-10 days, checking daily for desired flavor.
  9. Once it has reached your desired flavor, strain out any solids, bottle and refrigerate.
