Ice Cream Cake
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Grease and flour one 9 inch round cake pan.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
