Hot Fudge Cake
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9 inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Combine the cocoa, flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the sour cream.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
  5. Cool cake in pan 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
