Honey Cornbread
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups cornmeal
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, honey and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour and baking powder; stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Pour batter into an 8 inch square baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  7. Cool before serving.
