- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups cornmeal
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, honey and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour and baking powder; stir into the creamed mixture.
- Pour batter into an 8 inch square baking dish.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
- Cool before serving.
