- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
- 3/4 teaspoon citric acid
- 3/4 teaspoon tartaric acid
- Food coloring of your choice
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, salt and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- In a medium bowl, combine the gelatin, citric acid and tartaric acid. Gradually add 1/2 cup of the hot syrup mixture and stir until dissolved.
- Add food coloring to the remaining syrup mixture in the saucepan. Pour into the bowl with the gelatin mixture and stir until combined.
- Pour into a 9x13-inch pan lined with parchment paper or lightly oiled aluminum foil. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.
- Cut into desired shapes and serve!
