Gummy Bears
Ingredients
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
  • 3/4 teaspoon citric acid
  • 3/4 teaspoon tartaric acid
  • Food coloring of your choice

Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, salt and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the gelatin, citric acid and tartaric acid. Gradually add 1/2 cup of the hot syrup mixture and stir until dissolved.
  3. Add food coloring to the remaining syrup mixture in the saucepan. Pour into the bowl with the gelatin mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Pour into a 9x13-inch pan lined with parchment paper or lightly oiled aluminum foil. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.
  5. Cut into desired shapes and serve!
