- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices cooked ham
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, butter sides down, in the skillet.
- Top each slice with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham.
- Top with the remaining two slices of bread, butter sides up.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and flip.
- Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet and serve.
