Ingredients
  • 4 large green tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Steps
  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat.
  2. Slice the tomatoes into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  3. Brush the tomato slices with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the tomato slices for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until lightly charred.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, garlic, and basil. Set aside.
  6. Serve grilled tomatoes with basil aioli.
