- 2 slices of your favorite bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/4 cup onion jam
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Spread onion jam on the unbuttered side of one slice.
- Place both slices, buttered sides down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Top the onion jam slice with cheese and top with the other slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until golden brown and cheese is melted, about 3 minutes per side.
- Carefully flip sandwich and cook until golden brown and cheese is melted on the other side.
