- 2 slices of bread
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Spread the butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the buttered sides of the bread down in the skillet. Place one slice of cheese on each piece of bread.
- Crack the egg into a bowl and scramble it with a fork.
- Pour the egg onto one slice of bread in the skillet.
- Top with the other slice of bread, cheese side down, and press lightly with a spatula.
- Cook for 3 minutes, until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.
