Green Bean Casser…
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups cooked green beans
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth or white wine
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown, about 8 minutes.
  2. Add the thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the green beans and stir to combine. Pour in the broth or wine and bring to a simmer.
  4. Whisk together the flour and 1/4 cup of cold water until smooth. Slowly pour into the skillet while stirring constantly until thickened.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
