- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 6 cups thinly sliced apples (about 4 large)
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine oats, walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir in melted butter until evenly mixed. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together apples, flour and white sugar. Spread into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture over the apple mixture.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
