Gingerbread House
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 7 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the molasses.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, flour and baking soda. Gradually beat into the creamed mixture until well blended.
  4. Press dough into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in preheated oven.
  5. Cool before frosting with your favorite icing.
