Ingredients
  • 5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps
  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add butter, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt and pepper. Mash until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Serve warm.
