- 5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt and pepper. Mash until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve warm.
