- 4 large potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Peel and cube potatoes.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and return to the pot.
- Add butter, milk, garlic, salt and pepper. Mash until smooth.
- Serve warm.
