- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 3 tablespoons orange liqueur
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the batter until just blended.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
- Let cool before frosting.
