Fried Wontons
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pork
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped shrimp
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped scallions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 24 wonton wrappers

Steps
  1. Combine pork, shrimp, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Place 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges with water and fold in half to form a triangle.
  4. Press the edges firmly to seal.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  6. Fry wontons until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or duck sauce.
