- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups Italian-style bread crumbs
- 24 mozzarella cheese sticks
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- In a separate shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
- In another shallow bowl, place the bread crumbs.
- Dip each cheese stick into the flour mixture to coat.
- Dip each cheese stick into the egg mixture to coat.
- Roll each cheese stick in the bread crumbs to coat.
- Place on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Fry frozen cheese sticks in batches for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot.
