Fried Green Tomat…
Ingredients
  • 4 large green tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps
  1. Cut the tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper and black pepper.
  3. Dip the tomato slices in the flour mixture to coat both sides.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Place the tomato slices in the skillet and cook for 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from heat and serve warm.
