- 4 large green tomatoes
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Cut the tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper and black pepper.
- Dip the tomato slices in the flour mixture to coat both sides.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the tomato slices in the skillet and cook for 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
