- 2 large onions, diced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly add the beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
