- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast.
- Add the warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and shape into two loaves.
- Place on a greased baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
