- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Add in the milk and melted butter and stir until just combined.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.
- Divide dough into eight equal portions and shape each into a round ball.
- Place muffins on a greased baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
