Egg Drop Soup
Ingredients
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced

Steps
  1. In a large saucepan, bring the chicken broth, ginger and garlic powder to a boil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and cold water until smooth.
  3. Slowly stir the cornstarch mixture into the boiling broth.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the eggs and green onions.
  6. Cook for an additional 2 minutes or until eggs are cooked through.
  7. Serve hot.
