- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 3 cups cooked macaroni noodles
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, cook beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until beef is no longer pink; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer half of the macaroni noodles.
- Top with meat mixture and remaining noodles.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
