- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the beef until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
- Add the tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder and cumin. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
