- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 slices bacon, cut into thirds
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- In a separate shallow bowl, mix together the egg and milk.
- Dip each cheese cube into the egg mixture and then roll it in the flour mixture.
- Wrap each cheese cube with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Fry bacon wrapped cheese sticks in hot oil for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot.
